Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (EHV) - Deva CMC (EHV)

Description

DEVA CMC-EHV is an extremely high viscosity Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (C.M.C) technical graded which adeheres to the OCMA dFCP-7 Specifications. It is used as a viscosifier and fluid loss reducing agent in different types of water based drilling fluids.

Application

DEVA CMC-EHV is used in various types of drilling fluids ranging from fresh water to saturated salt water.

DEVA CMC-EHV can be used to substitute part of the bentonite in order to keep the solids content low. Furthermore, DEVA CMC-EHV allows rheology control, filtration control, formation of thin filter cakes, protection from flocculation, lubrication of bits, suspension of cuttings and weighting materials.

Temperature

DEVA CMC-EHV solutions are highly heat resistant. The product has a peak operating temperature higher (300°F, 150°C) than other products such as Starch and Guar Gum.

In the presence of strong alkaly and some metal ions this value is reduced.

Performance

DEVA CMC-EHV meets the OCMA DFCP-7 Specifications.
